I live in the beautiful Tyne Valley, Northumberland, 30 miles west of Newcastle and 30 miles east of Carlisle, I am a professional freelance photographer making my living from weddings and portraits but also commissions from various organisations, and of course selling my own photographs taken as I'm out walking. I'm often asked, what is it I like about photography, and it's such a hard question to answer because I like everything about photography. But if I had to name one thing, it's the moment between when the shutter is pressed and when you discover if its a winner, because during that moment the picture is the best one I have ever taken.
